AdvisoryQuest Is Taking a Break…and Looking Toward the Future

After some recent website issues an needing to update my site (I think it was a sign- or maybe the last straw)- and after 10 years of having the site active– it is time to take a break and decide the direction for the site.  That is why the site has not been updated for a few weeks.

I also want to focus on my other site MyLifesEncore.com, along with finishing building out my retirement coaching business and finding a new operations leadership role in the financial advisory industry.  Ideally, this would be a COO role.  Please keep me in mind and contact me if your firm needs this type of role or if you you know of a firm seeking this type of role.

This summer will be busy with building my podcast/vblog called Beyond the Numbers of Retirement.  You can find the podcast on iTunes, Google Play, Spotify, Sitcher and on my Podbean site.  You can find the podcast and vblog on MyLifesEncore.com.  I also coach a travelling girls 14U softball team- we have tournaments that include a fair amount of travel in June and July.

Along with keeping up with and aggregating the latest practice management news, I have enjoyed writing blog articles on strategic planning- particularly following through on the plans you made to reach your future goals.  I posted one atricle at the beginning of the year, and one near the end of the first quarter.  There are others that encourage follow-up and analysis fo where you are at that discuss these same things- to look at and analyze at the end of the second, third, and fourth quarters.  I have read the book Traction, and have helped establish the program at a firm I worked at.  I encourage you to read the book.  It will give you some great ideas, even if you don’t follow it to the letter.

Bigger things to come in the future!

Build your business wisely,

Reid
