OPERATIONS
Often neglected by financial advisory firms, particularly among fast-growing firms, the operations function
continues to become more important as technology continues to improve and the firm's operations become more
complex. If you have not read the 2005 Moss Adams study, Mission Possible: Finding the Optimal Operations
Model For Your Advisory Practice, I recommend you read it, particularly if you plan on growing (or have
grown) your firm substantially and plan on taking the firm to the next level. The landscape may have changed
slightly since its initial publication, however, the paper includes a number of timeless points, most notably
the importance of operations within a growing advisory firm.
